Kildare, The Thoroughbred County, is a wonderful place to visit. From horse racing, to motor sports or golf to angling, there is something in Kildare for everyone.

A popular activity for tourists is to take a walk along the many waterways of Kildare.
With seventy-five miles of canals and river walkways this has become one of the county’s most valued assets. Choose from the routes along the River Barrow or the Royal or Grand Canals. They can be enjoyed by people of all ages and levels of fitness. With no hills and many landmarks along the way, there is little risk of becoming tired or lost.
