Next year should see these figures increase further as we launch the new version of the kildare.ie website. Subcribers to the Kildare Community Network will be getting a sneak preview of the new version of the site early in the new year. The site will include major redevelopments of the site in the following areas: Arts, Business, Community, Education, Heritage and Tourism. Kildare County Development Board A new version of their website is now online http://www.kildare.ie/kcdb/ The Kildare County Development Board is a body which was set up to bring together all the main agencies and interests involved in the development of Kildare and to allow them to co-operate in providing their services. The first task of the Kildare County Development Board is to draw up a strategy for the Economic, Social and Cultural Development of the County over the next 10 years. The County Strategy will provide the framework for co-operation between these bodies and interests. This website tracks the progress as the Strategy is drawn up. Kildare Horse Development http://www.kildarehorse.ie/ The Kildare Horse Development Company has recently enhanced their website adding many new features and enriching most sections of the site. The new sections include: Events - equine related events Stallions - a list of stallions standing in Kildare Discussion Forum - a forum to air your views on racing, breeders or trainers or any other equine related issue Pony Club - a section for kids who like horses Updated sections include: Links, Racecourses and Ancillary Services This site is well worth visiting for anyone with an interest in horses. __________________________________________________________________ 5. Kildare Network of People with Disabilities http://www.kildare.ie/knpd/ Through its County Networks and National Board, the Network Committee: Represents people with disabilities Gathers information about disability issues Promotes equality for all citizens with disabilities Advocates on behalf of people with disabilities who cannot represent themselves Lobbies vigorously on disability issues at all levels Supports all people with disabilities, and initiatives that raise disability awareness Liaises with Statutory Agencies and other bodies as necessary Represents people in Ireland with disabilities on the European Disability Forum Networks with National disability councils and other disability organisations in other EU Member States Promotes the need for a referendum to amend the Irish Constitution to enable it to outlaw discrimination against people with disabilities A site that's definitely worth visiting. Kildare Nursery Stock Producers http://www.knsp.ie/ This group of producers have launched their new website recently. This group consists of eight specialist wholesale producers of nursery stock and has been established since 1999. They produce a wide range of plants including Liners, Ericaceous plants, conifers, semi mature shrubs, climbers, containerised ornamental trees, open ground and hedging plants.
