Described as the driest course in Leinster, Milicent golf course offers spectacular views of the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. Al;though Millicent has many daunting hazards, including well placed bunkers, the river Liffey and internal lakes, it provides enjoyable golf for both accomplished and high handicap golfers.
Location
Directions From the south and Dublin via the N7 Naas road The best route is to exit dual-carriageway at Interchange No.7 sign posted Straffan/Kill and follow directional signs for Maynooth/Straffan. Continue through Straffan Village (L2007) onto roundabout at Barberstown and take first exit onto R403 to Clane. Continue through Clane village until you pass the church on the left. Go through the next set of traffic lights and take the next right hand turn. Follow this road over a small bridge, Aldi should be on your right. The golf club is about a mile out this road on the left hand side. From North Dublin and the West via the N4 Head south towards Dublin Take the M50 around Dublin & cross the West Link toll bridge. Take the immediate turn off after the bridge onto the N4 and head for Maynooth,carry on a further 15km From the N4 Take the Maynooth turn off At the round about head straight on towards Straffan and Clane 5km on take a right at the staggered cross road heading for Clane In Clane carry on up the High St. After the pedestrian crossing take the second right Follow the twisting road for about 1km. Millicent is on the left hand side.
