Daingean
This rural town was once the
County's Principal Town when it was known as Philipstown. There are
still remnants of the town's past. At the bridge you will notice the
large reformatory. This was closed down in the 1970's and there are
plans to develop to the benefit of the local community.
Why not enjoy a round of golf at Castle Barna's 18 hole Golf Course,
which is just on the outskirts of the town, For more information Tel:

The town has an ample amount of friendly local pubs, some of which
serve food, so why stop off and enjoy a jar in good company. |
