South Kildare Child and Family Service

Most people would agree that coping with today's world places lots of stresses and strains on children and their families. Many of these difficulties are sorted out with the help of family and friends. However, sometimes children and families experience difficulties with which they would like some additional help. Help in dealing with these kinds of difficulties can be sought through a Child and Family Service.

A Child and Family Service is a service provided to children and young people under 16 years, by people who have qualifications and experience in working to help children and families. A Child and Family Service Team is usually made up of people with different types of qualifications, such as Social Workers, Community Nurses, Psychiatrists, Speech & Language Therapists, Child Care Workers and Clinical Psychologists.
