Anatomy of the Uilleann Pipes by Tomás Ó Póil
This workshop features a live dissection of the Uilleann Pipes whereby its complicated mechanism is demystified. Chanter, Drones, Reeds and Regulators are displayed and explored with the children. Audience participation is of course encouraged. Tomás will introduce the various types of dance tunes played in Traditional Music and the differences between them.
