Biography:
Clane Musical Society was founded in Clane, Co. Kildare in 1983 by Marie Hickey and Maureen McCormack. The goal is to stage a musical every year. Every year, with the sole exception of 1987, the society has performed a show. "The Boyfriend", the society's first show, was rehearsed and staged in only six weeks! Clane Musical Society's shows are staged in The Abbey, Clane, Co. Kildare.
Past shows include Oklahoma! (1998), Half A Sixpence (1995), The New Mikado (1992) and South Pacific (1989).
Recent Work:
This year's show was "Fiddler on the Roof" which took place in the Abbey from 16th - 23rd March.
