James has already written several books on the involvement of Irishmen and women in conflicts both national and international and this new book is no exception. The book, entitled “Vietnam - The Irish Experience”, tells the story of many Irish people caught up in this bloody conflict which exploded on to the world stage. A number of Kildare veterans will be at the launch namely, Mick Flood, Kilmeade, Athy who served in the US marines and Mick Cahill of the Curragh who was with the Merchant Navy.
