Silken Thomas Players return to The Moat Theatre with their highly anticipated festival production of Equus by Peter Shaffer.
Martin Dysart, a psychiatrist, investigates the savage blinding of six horses at a stable in Hampshire, England.
For no apparent reason, an unassuming seventeen-year-old stable boy name Alan Strang, the only son of a timid father and a refined, religious mother, committed the atrocity with a hoof pick.
As Dysart exposes the truths behing the boy's demons, he finds himself confronting his own insecurities about religon, sexuality and his relationship with his wife.
