"Warlock"
Spirit of Rock - Halloween
Friday 31st October
Halloween Concert
The Stand House
Admission 12.50 Euro
On Friday 31st October a group of guys from Kildare and Newbridge will
re-unite to celebrate the 21st anniversary of one of the first ever
heavy rock bands formed in Kildare.
Warlock played music from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy
and other rock giants carving out a name for themselves as a formidable
live act. Having fronted Mamas Boys and played gigs and open air festivals
throughout the county the boys drifted their separate ways playing in
countless other bands over the last two decades.
Some years back they played together purely for fun in Lil Flanagans
in Kildare and last year, to a packed audience in the Geraldine Rooms
in
the Silken Thomas Kildare, they resurrected the sort of show that made
them a cut above the rest all those years ago. For those lucky enough
to get in it truly was a night to remember, as much for the special
effects, light and sound show as for the musical feast on offer.
While the boys have been working hard to put this Halloween spectacular
together they are also aware that there is a fun element involved
and promise an evening of entertainment to all who attend.
They will be preceded by special guests THE GEORGE WASHINGTON RHYTMN
AND BLUES BAND and PAUL KEOGH and the gig will start at 10 p.m.
(the doors
open at 9). BE EARLEY.
