Three Local Bands

Riverbank Arts Centre Main Street, Newbridge, Co Kildare Saturday 20th April 2002 at 8.00 pm

This concert continues Riverbank's policy of encouraging new and emerging bands. Following the success of the previous rock concert, we are proud to host this event featuring Kade, New Age Militia and Linus. Kade are a heavy alternative rock band from County Kildare and have been playing around the Dublin area for just over a year, featuring at venues such as The SFX, Eamon Doran's, Whelans and Fibber Magees. The group are preparing to 'rock the roof of the Riverbank Arts Centre in their home town of Newbridge. They intend to play some new heavier and darker material some of which got a brief airing at a recent gig in Johnstown.

Support on the night is provided by the highly recommended punky sounds of Linus and The New Age Militia. Originally known as Velocity Boy, New Age Militia was born some two years ago when then bedroom guitarist Conor Wilkins and bass player/singer Wayne Fahy got together, to be joined shortly afterwards by Shane Pearson and Gavin Elsted. The band have already played at the Riverbank to great acclaim, and are looking forward to revisiting the success of that night.

Tickets can be booked in person at the Riverbank, by calling (045) 448333, or by e-mail at boxoffice@riverbank.ie
