Kildare Play Day

Kildare Play Day

The seventh annual Kildare Play Day takes place on Saturday 22 September at Aras Chill Dara in Naas and includes something for every member of the family including those with special needs.

Play Day is a free family event run by Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. It promotes the idea of play in all its forms; leisure and recreation are very important for all members of society.

Kildare County Council works with staff, volunteers, workshop facilitators, entertainers, emergency services and other stakeholders to deliver the best possible programme on the day. The 2018 event includes five live stage acts, 11 outdoor events, 19 indoor attractions and accessible features like a sensory suite for different age groups and mobile accessible toilets.

3,000 people attended last year so we're looking forward to another busy day at the civic campus in Devoy Park. The event starts at 12 midday and continues until 5 pm.

Kildare County Council would like to extend a warm invitation to you and your family to join them at this year's event. There is free parking on site and food and drinks will be available to purchase. They hope to see you there
