The school hall in St. Brigid's Post Primary School, Athy rocked and rolled as students entertained fellows, parents and invited guests at their Christmas Concert.
This concert which was the brainchild of L.C. Applied 2 students was fully co-ordinated and organised by them. They sent out invitations to the whole student body to sing, dance or tell a story. And that they did.
The response revealed a wealth of talents from boy bands to traditional dancers and rock and rollers.
The concert opened with a selection of Christmas carols performed by the school choir under the direction of Ms Claire O'Connor.
The Village People - a group of first years raised the temperature as they moved through their paces of their Y.M.C.A. act which was choreographed by Ms Natalie Melia.
The boy band comprising of Craig Steward, Eoin Kelly and Wayne Conroy surprised everyone with their stunning performance
Helena Moore, Thomasina Lannigan and Sinead Doyle performed some jigs and reels sporting full traditional dancing costume
Big Brother was watching with a lively choreography performance from Ciarán Brennan, Stephen Donovan, Lorraine Phillips, Nadia scappaticci and Christine Donovan. A surprise appearance from the "Rogues" - Mr Daly and Mr Jim O'Keeffe with their guitars added further enjoyment to the afternoon.
A raffle with many prizes collected by the organisers was held before the choir rounded off with a sing along selection of Christmas songs.
