Richard succumbed to a complicated kingside attack and sacrifice while Noel was unable to take advantage of a pawn advantage, the game ending in a draw in the middle game. Peter and his opponent agreed a draw in a tricky game. There were good wins for Mark and Dermot with Niall picked up his easiest points of the season with a default.
