May Mona Newsletter

_______________May Editorial_______________

Hello again and welcome to the next issue of Mona. Firstly, thanks to all the schools for their work in submitting great stories, poems and articles for the Newsletter. Secondly, we are sorry to say a very important meeting was arranged for the 14th April, on Drug Awareness. This meeting was very badly attended and it is hoped that another meeting will be arranged in the near future. All children are at risk from drugs, and needless to say there are a vast number of children in the Tir na Mona area. Next time, we hope to see a better turnout at the meeting.

The A.G.M., for the Mona Newsletter is going to be held on Tuesday 11th May in St. Kevin’s GAA at 8.30pm sharp. It is hoped that as many people as possible attend. We hope to bring a few more members on board to help with every aspect of the Newsletter. On the 6th May there will be a public meeting in Cadamstown Hall, which is located on the road between Broadford and Johnstown Bridge. The meeting is being hosted by North Kildare Road Action Group.

Anyone with the Internet can now read the "Mona" on the WebPages of Kildare County Council. If you have any friends or relations living here or abroad, let them know where they can find out about their relations back home. Kids, this month someone will be collecting your poems, stories and articles from the News-Boxes that are in your schools. So don’t forget to get that pen or pencil out and get writing. The deadline for the next issue of the Newsletter is Saturday 29th May. Any item received after that date may not be included in the next issue.
