TABLE
QUIZ
The Christmas Table Quiz
in Timahoe NS was both enjoyable and successful. This prompted
us to host an Easter quiz and, even as we go to print, questions
are being gathered to challenge the senior pupils.
Our monthly Table Quiz,
in Kelly’s Bar, Timahoe, will roll along in March, on the
last Friday, the 30th, with Ann and Jimmy Smythe sharing
the hot seat and taking the flak, following the pace set
by Trish and Clare Kelly in February……. what a challenging
night that was! Thinking caps were well and truly dusted
off! Claire posed the questions, while Trish kept score.
Thanks, ladies, for keeping us all on the edge of our seats….
each presenter adds their own touch to the quiz. This, in
turn, adds variety and interest. I wonder what Jimmy and
Ann have in store for us in March? I believe Emily has begun
researching for April! We greatly appreciate all the presenters,
for their time, effort and their personal commitment in
making our quizzes so enjoyable…… and controversial. The
proceeds are in aid of our much needed Community house.
Each table Quiz is a step towards that goal.

TIMAHOE LADIES CLUB
On February 1st we had a
great turnout to enjoy the very entertaining flower arranging
demonstration given by Joan Weld Moore from Country Blossoms
in Clane. We are delighted that Joan will be back with us
again on March 1st and we have no doubt that a good night
will be had once again.
On March 8th we hope to
celebrate International Women’s Day by dining out. On Thurs
5th April we hope to have Shauna Hickson, beauty therapist,
to give a makeover to one lucky lady and a manicure to another.
Details on both events can be obtained form Paula @ 863503.
Any female member of the
community is welcome to join Timahoe Ladies Club. Meetings
are held on the first Thursday of every month in Kelly’s
Hob, Timahoe, at 8 p.m.
