Timahoe Community Development Council, a member of Tir Na Mona, held it’s 3rd A.G.M. recently. Outgoing Chairman, Mick Carroll, reported another successful year, both financially and socially. Events such as the Treasure Hunt, Easter Bunny Hunt, Table Quizzes and the Annual Filed day were enjoyable social occasions and raised funds for their long-term goal – building a community meeting house. Guest speakers – Ann Marie Conneely, Bernard Durkan T.D., councillor P.J. Sheridan, Philip Baxter, Noel Fitzgerald, Sean Flannery and Liam Holton, chairperson of Tir Na Mona covered a broad spectrum of issues – all interesting and informative. The efforts of the dedicated committee were acknowledged and the incoming committee was welcomed. The executive were elected from within the committee- Margaret Kane Chairperson Pauline Byrne Secretary Pauline Finnegan Treasurer As stated in their constitution, they aim to serve, develop and enrich their community, establishing a sense of identity and pride of place – that place being TIMAHOE.
