Kynog United Red V Arlington

Saturdays late morning kick off saw the meeting of kynog utd red vs arlington blue and we didn"t have to wait to long before the scoring started when liam brady opened the scoring with a smartly taken goal, moments later Brady added other.
The second quater saw some excellent defending by this young Arlington side but Kynog"s pressure was to show to be to much, Gereard o connor found himself on the end of a dylan waldron cross and made no mistake in finishing it,liam Brady was to get his hat trick minutes later with a good volly yet again from a crossing ball.
The third quater, Kynog kept the pressure up and good team work from Arlington kept Kynog at bay,but constant pressure saw Ger o conor net his second, and very soon after his hat trick.
The forth quater, more pressure and more goals were to follow by dylan waldron, oisin Lawler and sean o conor,to finish the match at 10-0 to Kynog.

Under 13 Kynog United V Bush Celtic

Kynog United 3 Bush Celtic 2

This shield match was set to be a close contest given the results of the two games had played during the league this season with Kynog just shading the advantage.
It was Kynog that attacked from the whistle and piled pressure on the Bush back line only some fine defending from Christopher Spain and Luke Cowley kept the constant threat from Dylan Donaghue and Brian Elliott to a minimum.
Kynog kept probing the Bush back four looking for the opening goal and their hard work paid off after 10 minutes when a perfectly delivered corner kick from Brian McGrath found the head of Brian Elliott who made no mistake.
Bush raised their game after conceeding a goal and mid fielders Jack Murphy and Tim Murphy started to gain more possession in mid field treading balls forward for the Bush strikers to run on to.
The Kynog back line of Eoin Kavanagh, Darragh Lynch, Jack Byrne and Eoin Kelly stood firm and sent the ball back to mid field where Kynog man of the match Conor Murray was lurking waiting for a pass to set him on his way to the Bush goal. He got that pass on 15 minutes and tucked the ball past the advancing keeper to make it 2 nil.
Bush never lost hope and kept trying to pass the ball and find the Kynog net. A long kick out from Kynog keeper Lee Dempsey was neatly flicked on by Dylan Donaghue to Brian McGrath who made it 3 nil on 20 minutes.
This game looked to be going only one way but credit to Bush they kept their heads up and kept going. Their pressure paid off when they won a free kick on the edge of the penalty box and up stepped Jack Murphy to put it away in the top corner.
Second half saw a new lease of life from Bush they were the ones pressing Kynog back and Lee Dempsey was the busier of the two keepers for much of the second half. Kynog created chances of their own through Joe Kenny and Dean Bowers but were unlucky not to add to their lead. A Bush corner kick saw Dylan McDermott rise highest to head home with four minutes left on the clock. This set for a very exciting finish with Bush throwing everything they had at Kynog. Kynog kept their heads and dealt with the pressure hold out for their win. Well done to both teams an excellent game of football.

Under 7 Red V Newbridge White

Kynog United Red 5 Newbridge White 5

Saturday morning showed an epic encounter between Kynog United Red and
Newbridge Town White. Kynog started the strongest of the two sides
with Liam Brady opening the scoring after four minutes and added his
second three minutes later to see Kynog go two nil up at the first
 break.
The second quarter started with more impressive pressure from Kynog
early on with Newbridge doing very well to withstand the attack with
some good defending. Ger O'Connor finally cracked Newbridge towns
defence with a fine effort late on. Some great saves from Neill Doyle
and defending from Kynogs back line sent Kynog in three nil up at half
 time.
Newbridge Town came out after the break with great early pressure but
some great defending from Ryan Murran kept them at bay. Eoghan Molloy
eventually broke the deadlock for Newbridge and it wasnt long before
he racked up two more goals, to give him a well deserved Hat-Trick and
sent the teams in at the final break tied at three goals a piece.
The final quarter saw Newbridge keep the pressure on and took the lead
with a goal from Eoin Meehan,Until Oisin lawlor scored a cracking goal
from at least forty yards to level the game. Newbridge came back at
Kynog again with a fifth goal from Josh Burns. Some late pressure from
kynog with a great run from Sean O'Connor and a stunning finish gave
 Kynog a deserved draw.
