Monasterevin Historical Society starts off its Winter Lectures with some home grown talent. The society will present two talks on Thursday 16 November at 8.30pm in the Council Hall, Main Street, Monasterevin.  'Successive Owners of Moore Abbey' by Margaret Walsh charts the history of one of Kildare's finest gothic mansions from its earliest times through its many famous owners, while 'The Marquises of Drogheda' by Barry Walsh focuses on three of Moore Abbey's most influencial and colourful residents. Admission is free and all are welcome.
