The Barretstown Big Picnic

The Barretstown Big Picnic

Barretstown And Brady Family Ham Host The Barretstown Big Picnic - A Fun Filled Family Event Open To Little And Big Kids Countrywide!

Barretstown, the charity for children with serious illness, is hosting its annual Big Picnic on Sunday 7th July from 11am – 5pm and everyone is invited to come along. The day is set to be an action packed day of serious fun activities. Fossett’s Circus will perform three live shows for attendees and there will be plenty of other activities on the day as well.

Barretstown provides therapeutic recreation programmes for children affected by serious illness and their families, and offers these services completely free of charge. The Big Picnic gives families and supporters the rare opportunity to experience the Barretstown Magic for themselves and see what the camp has to offer. It also gives parents, and friends the chance to reconnect with their own childhood through the fun activities.

Activities taking place on the day include pony rides, balloon making, face painting, canoeing, bouncy castles, petting farm, crazy golf and much more including competitions and prizes.

The day is free of charge but families are encouraged to donate whatever they can.

For the third year running, Brady Family Ham will sponsor the event and will host lots of fun activities such as; cooking demos throughout the day from food blogger and author Sinead Delahunty, a 'Skills and Drills' session with Kildare GAA stars and a sandwich making challenge with Chef Redmond.

The circus performances will take place at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm and booking tickets for this is essential!

Tickets for the circus cost €10 for adults and €5 for children.
