Ballymore Eustace Dramatic Society presents Lennox Robinson's sparkling comedy.
Denis Geoghan is his mother’s favourite and she’s determined to make him a doctor. While his five brothers and sisters languish at home in the small, provincial town of Ballycolman, Denis is off up in Dublin enjoying the high life at Trinity College. But when he fails his exam for the third time, eldest brother, George has had enough! He’s determined Denis won’t get a penny more from him other than the £20 it will cost to ship him off to Canada to work as a labourer.
But none of them have reckoned on town Chairman, John Duffy and his daughter, Delia, to whom Denis has been promised this two year.
And so the stage is set for an evening of fun, intrigue and romance for everyone involved
