North Kildare Poetry Reading
Poetry Ireland celebrates its 30th anniversary in October. To mark the occasion, and to raise awareness of the richness and diversity of contemporary poetry in Ireland, there are readings the length and breadth of Ireland on Thursday 2nd October . Once established, the All Ireland Poetry Day will be used in the future as a basis for all sorts of interesting events pertaining to poetry.
The North Kildare reading will take place in Maynooth Library at 7:30pm. It will feature poetry written and performed by a diverse group of talented local writers including Kate Dempsey, Alison Maxwell, John Conroy, Emma Clarke Conway, Colm Keegan and James Lawless.
We invite everyone in North Kildare to come along and enjoy an evening of poetry. Be part of a national phenomenon that is destined become an annual event, whether you are an existing poetry fan or haven't read any since school.
