Singer Luka Bloom will perform a benefit concert for FADA Newbridge on Thursday, October 1.
The 8 p.m. concert will be held at the Ryston Social Club in Newbridge, County Kildare. Tickets are 15 euros and can be purchased from FADA members or Top Twenty music store in Newbridge.
FADA Newbridge are a group of neighbours in County Kildare, Ireland, who work on local solutions to global problems.
The goal of FADA Newbridge is to prepare our villages for a potentially difficult future by becoming as self-reliant as possible. FADA host neighbourhood talks and seminars in home repair, solar and wind power, agriculture and cooking.
FADA also work with local students in several ways — to monitor area energy use, to interview local elderly, and to dramatise a world after fossil fuels.
