Whistle Workshop
Time 10am - 12.30pm // Price €5
In this one-day whistle workshop, students will learn to play new tunes by ear including jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slides. Work on different types of ornamentation; cuts, rolls, taps, slides, and crans. Learn breathing techniques, articulation, embouchure and Work on style, variations and phrasing of tunes and more. Pupils with some proficiency on the whistle will benefit greatly from this one-day workshop.
Teaching and written notation will be available at the end of the day (It is recommended to bring a recording device to record these tunes for future learning)
Flute Workshop
Time 1pm - 3.30pm // Price €5
In this one-day flute workshop, students will learn to play new tunes by ear including jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slides. Working on the tone of the flute and learning new techniques to improve your tone, pupils with some proficiency on the will benefit greatly from this one-day workshop.
