Moat Performing Arts Carnival

Moat Performing Arts Carnival

Two nights of the top performers in Ireland plus mayhem on the streets of Naas with panto characters, buskers, face-painters, magic shows, puppet shows, and much more!

All the world's a stage, said William Shakespeare and from 23rd to 25th July that stage is the streets of Naas. The shops provide the backdrop, musicians busking on every corner are the soundtrack and the players are the people of Naas.

At 3pm on Friday 23rd, the Town Crier kicks the whole thing off and Panto Pandemonium hits the streets.  Find your favourite panto characters in all sorts of trouble and as you watch the drasma unfold, enjoy the carnival atmosphere provided by:

a busking competition, fancy dress, puppet shows, Komedy Korner, magic shows, street art, duck races on the canal, music sessions on the patio at the Moat Theatre, drummers, jugglers and Poi performers.

The high points of the carnival are the two gala performances; one on Friday 23rd and one on Saturday 24th. On Friday night, hear Celine Byrne, 5th String, Alexandra Brychta, Marianna Alberdova & Tony Brychta with L'Academia di Musici youth orchestra.

On Saturday enjoy Rebecca Storm and her band and John Forde, 'Piano Man'.

The Moat Performing Arts Carnival is sponsored by The Phone Stores.
