The programme will include works by Irish composers Gerald Barry and John Godfrey, alongside the Irish premiere of Donnacha Dennehy’s ‘As an Nós’, commissioned by the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players in 2009. A more international flavour will be bought by composers such as America’s John Zorn, Jacob TV from the Netherlands and Grammy Award Winning Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov.

Stranger Folk will cap  a successful year for Crash Ensemble that included a BBC recorded concert in London, a US tour, the world premiere of a new work with Grammy Award winning US soprano Dawn Upshaw and the recording of an album for US record label Nonesuch.
