A lively cast of vegetables and kitchen utensils hijack a cookery demonstration to tell a magical fable

Púca Puppets are proud to bring their lively cast of vegetables and kitchen utensils on a nationwide tour to tell the magical fable of ‘Stone Stoup’. The show is guaranteed to delight children from five to ten years and their families with performances at Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge on Saturday 11th June, 2pm.

Deep in the worst winter of their history, starving villagers are surprised by the arrival of a mysterious stranger. Doors are slammed in her face, but a young boy helps her tease the community into making and sharing her very special ‘Stone Soup’. This inventive adaptation of an ancient but relevant story unfolds by way of a cookery demonstration from performers Joe Moylan and Amy Conroy, supported by a lively cast of utensil ‘puppets’. ’Stone Soup’ features live soup making, talking vegetables, a post-show discussion and an invitation to taste the soup!

Púca Puppets have produced outstanding work for both adults and children since 1997. The multi award-winning company has represented Ireland abroad and toured sell-out performances around Ireland.

Don’t miss this unusual show and re-telling of an ancient tale complete with a soup tasting session!

Tickets €6 on 045 448309 or www.riverbank.ie/childrens .
