Gemma Hayes
Gemma Hayes has long established herself as one of Ireland’s top musical talents. Her much anticipated fourth studio album, released in May, is an evolution of Gemma's unique style of music, combining prog rock, folk and electronica. The album is another collaboration with producer David Odlum, and features Paul Noonan of Bell X1 and Ann Scott, among others.

Over the years, Gemma’s songs have appeared in countless TV programmes and films -- from Grey's Anatomy to One Tree Hill and most recently The Vampire Diaries and the upcoming Abigail Breslin pic, Janie Jones. Her debut LP, Night on My Side, received much critical acclaim from all corners, garnering a UK Mercury Prize nomination and earning her an award as Ireland's best female artist. Gemma's subse- quent release, The Roads Don't Love You, earned her yet another best female artist nod. For more visit www.gemmahayes.com

Fionn Regan
Fionn Regan is a difficult man to pin down musically. Just two albums into an extremely promising career, this sublimely gifted singer-songwriter has already demonstrated a staggering lack of regard for following the rules.

Regan’s calling card was the beautiful Mercury-nominated The End Of History. Rather than follow it up with more of the same pastoral loveliness, he made The Shadow of an Empire, and with it didn’t so much flaunt convention, as trample all over it to produce a collection every bit as beguiling as its predecessor, but bursting with more ideas and sounds than some acts have in a lifetime.

If The End of History was the sound of the countryside and woodland lanes, The Shadow Of An Empire was the sound of towns and dimly lit streets; heartfelt and with a ragged edge. But mere metaphors barely begin to get to the giddy, restless heart of Fionn Regan’s music. His forthcoming album is due in early August. For more visit www.fionnregan.com
