Kildare Yarn Bomb

Kildare Yarn Bomb

Visit the biggest yarn bomb in Ireland. Over 1000 people have been busy knitting and crocheting since January and for the month of June, 80 trees, lampposts, benches and railing will be decorated with wool all in the name of art.

The Kildare Yarn Bomb is a celebration of community spirit. Knitter's and crocheters aged 4 to 92 have contributed this year and the result is a woolly explosion of colour and creativity.

Take a stroll through the Liffey side park and you'll find knitted cats, owls, a donkey not to mention bicycles and our very own Angel Of The Yarn Bomb who will be keeping an eye on things from high above.

Great fun for the whole family and a free 'Hide and Seek' list of things to find can be collected from the Riverbank Arts Centre and the Library.
