GAA Football Qualifiers Round 4B - Kildare v Armagh

GAA Football Qualifiers Round 4B - Kildare v Armagh

Kildare will take on Armagh in the Football Championship Qualifiers in Croke Park, Dublin on Saturday 29 July 2017 at 7.00pm.

Kildare will be hoping to recover from their recent Leinster Final defeat to Dublin on Sunday 16 July.

Dublin only led by four points at the break, having taken a nine point lead early in the first half.

A superb 2nd quarter performance from Kildare got them back to just 4 points.

However, Dublin's second half performance was too hot for Kildare to handle, and Dublin powered their way ahead, and out of sight.

Kildare did score 1-17 and this is a positive they can take into the Armagh game.

Cian O'Neill's Lilywhites will have to fire on all cylinders to defeat an Armagh team who have recovered from a quarter final defeat to Down in the Ulster Championship Quarter Final, by 0-15 to 2-7, to progress through the Qualifiers, and now are only one match away from an All Ireland Quarter Final.

Armagh defeated Tipperary by 1-17 to 1-15  and Westmeath by 1-12 to 1-7 on their way to their meeting with Kildare in Round 4B

Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney will be facing his old friends in Kildare, who he managed from 2007 to 2013.

The winners of the Round 4B Qualifiers will play either Tyrone or Dublin in the All-Ireland quarter-final.

Should Kildare win they will automatically play Tyrone.
