Christy Moore is a Kildare legend. Christy was born in May 7th 1945 and grew up in Newbridge. He is our very own Irish Folk Singer, Song Writer & Musician.
His style of music includes driving rhythms on both bodhran & guitar as well as slower ballads. This superstar in the eyes of all Kildare people is a living legend.
He was named Ireland’s greatest living musician in RTE’s People of the Year Awards in 2007.
Christy will be joined by guitar player Declan Sinnott , banjo and fiddle player Cathal Hayden, and percussionist Jimmy Higgins.
