Get Into Golf Initiative at Dunmurry Springs

Dunmurry Springs Golf Club in Kildare Town are opening their gates and are offering a 'learn how to play golf' program next week by encouraging more men, ladies and juniors to 'Get into Golf'.

The new initiative runs from Saturday 10th to Sunday 18th June and is aimed at beginner golfers and visitors to come and to play the golf course for free to see would they be interested in playing golf and ultimately become a member of the club. The initiative is geared at people who have never played golf, people who played golf in the past, sports people from other sports clubs and anyone who might like to try golf. It is also open to Men, Ladies and Juniors to come up and make it a family sport by playing together.  The 'learn to golf' offer is open to all levels including absolute beginners - no equipment or special clothing required. Dunmurry Springs would like to make the game 'more fun, friendly, more accessible and affordable to all'.

According to Golf Club Manager, Seán Ó Gallchóir "It's important to cater for all golfers, beginners and regular players, we feel introducing a new platform for beginners to learn about the game of golf will help encourage new blood to the club and grow our membership base".

Dunmurry Springs celebrated 10 years in business in 2016 and are always trying to develop new ways to grow their membership and green fee business. With golf club memberships slowly decreasing all over Ireland, Dunmurry Springs have decided to do something to encourage new golfers to the game - as Christy Moore sings 'The Time Has Come' and this Kildare based golf club are doing just that and mixing it up as they say and opening it's doors to all beginners.

As part of this initiative, Dunmurry Springs will be offering golf tuition and lessons to beginners focusing on the basics of the game. Come along to Dunmurry Springs Golf Club on Sunday 11th or 18th June @ 3pm for a group coaching session or if you can already play come along for a FREE round of golf. Our Golf Professional David Cully will be available to help with coaching, tips on correct grip and posture, chipping, putting and introducing beginners to the game of golf.  To receive a 'Get into Golf' voucher or to book in for tuition please call 045 533633 or email info@dunmurrysprings.ie for more information.
