Stephen aged 23 from Lakelands, Naas will
be bidding with his colleagues on the International Five-a-side
soccer team for gold at the Special Olympics World Games
in Dublin next June.
Stephen who is seventh generation Naas on his mother's side
resides with his parents in Lakelands. His parents Martina,
Donal, his brother and sister are extremely proud of Stephen's
achievements.
Stephen is under the umbrella of the KARE Foundation, located
at Newbridge Road, Naas, he plays soccer for KARE. He has
been working in SuperValu, Naas for a number of years.
He is not only interested in soccer but was involved with
the Beavers, Cub and Scouts, he is currently a cub assistant
leader with his father and mother. He loves music and plays
the bodhran with the Tuesday Night sing-along in the Town
House Hotel.
He is a very keen and good swimmer, and a member of Naas
Health and Fitness Club.
Soccer is his first love and is a fervent Manchester United
and Celtic fan and supporter.
Among Stephen's trophies are Gold, Silver and Bronze medals
for his soccer achievements at Leinster and Ireland level.

Jason is 19 and lives with his family James, Susan and Catherine
in Lacken View, Naas, Catherine his mother and his family
are literally "over the moon" at Jason's achieve-ments
of getting on the Irish Five-aside soccer team for the Special
Olympics World Games in June.
Jason, like his colleague Stephen, plays with the KARE team,
he has been in training since last year.
Jason won a silver medal for his soccer skills in the Leinster
Championships last year. He is also a Manchester United fan,
he includes David Beckham and winger Ryan Giggs among his
all-time heroes.
Jason works in Spar Naas.
The committee wish Jason, Stephen and their colleagues every
success in the Olympics in June. They are already winners.
