Schools Playing Major Role

Under the guidance of Ms. Orla O'Connell and Garda Tim Burke the schools and pupils in the area are playing a very valuable and positive role in the organisation of this major event.
Orla, has visited most of the schools outlining the activities and the commitment of the young athletes involved in the games, their preparation, the pleasure they gain from the training and participation in their respective sports. The joy and happiness they bring to themselves and their families.

Tim Burke has also visited most of the Primary Schools in the area outlining the requirements for the Torch Run, he also has had the full co-operation of the Principals and pupils, and in fact they were thrilled with the idea.
The transition year students from both St. Mary's College and Naas CBS have agreed to distribute this Newsletter - thanks girls and boys or should I say young ladies and gents.

We would also like to express sincere thanks to Dave Cahill, woodwork instructor St. Patrick's Post Primary College, Naas and his students for their assistance with the presentation plaques.
