Entertainment

Ciaran Murray, Chairman of the Entertainment Committee, ably abetted and assisted by his assistant Jacinta O'Sullivan, are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the Race Day will be a tremendous success. Ciaran says "that this will be one of the most enjoyable events of the year, at Naas Race Course, the standard of racing will be second to none". He compliments "the course Manager Margaret McGuinness and the Race Company for their help and co-operation".

Ciaran and Jacinta are also involved in having a "Monster Concert" organised. The concert is being sponsored by Naas Lions Club. Domnic Rowan is heading up the Lions involvement. Mona Conroy, who is extremely well known in Naas and further afield for her magnificent singing qualities and her professional approach to the production of concerts to the highest standard, is the production manager for the show. Included in the show will be Mona's own Showstoppers, Naas Musical Society, Moat Club, Naas, The Tune Smiths, to name but a few. Further details in our next bulletin, mid-May.
Both Ciaran and his committee are also working to provide street entertainment for young and not so young, particularly on Friday morning, 20 June in conjunction with the arrival of the Torch Run.
