Yellow Weather Advisory 09 November 2018

Met Éireann have issued a Yellow weather advisory, the advisory is in affect from 04.00 – 15.00 on the 9th November for  Munster and Connacht  and from 08.00 -19.00 for  Leinster, but also  including Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
The forecast is for heavy rainfall  (25 -40mm) between 06.00 – 18.00 on Friday 9th November, with higher amounts of rainfall possible in high mountainous areas predicted with the South East and West of the country particularly at risk. (Galway, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth, Wicklow, Wexford, Mayo, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford).
The winds will be south easterly’s with predicted strengths of between 50 -65 KM/H, Gusting up to 100KM/H, with stronger winds possible on exposed coastal areas and higher ground, the OPW have indicated that we are on a High Astronomical Tide cycle, and expect some overtopping and localised flooding to occur,
