Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:

The L1006-1 road from the junction at Kishawanny Bridge to Oldcourt Crossroads at Highfield Golf Course from Monday 11 June to Friday 15 June 2012 to all traffic each day between the hours of 8.00a.m. to 6.00p.m.

The closure is required to facilitate essential road maintenance works.

Alternative routes: Adequately signed diversion routes will be provided on all approach roads for the duration of the works. Emergency and local access will be maintained at all times. Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation and Public Safety Department, Level 4, at the address below on or before 5.00p.m. on Tuesday 22 May 2012.

Kilmalum, Blessington, Co. Kildare

Kildare County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 (No. 44 of 2004) hereby gives notice of its intention to make a Special Speed Limit Bye-Law in respect of Kilmalum, Blessington, Co. Kildare.

The purpose of this Bye-Law is to provide for a Special Speed Limit on a designated section of the road network in County Kildare in the interest of prudent traffic management and road safety.

This draft Bye-Law is available for inspection on www.kildarecountycouncil.ie and during the hours of 9.30 am to 4.30 pm from Tuesday 15 May to Friday 15 June 2012 (excluding weekends and public holidays) at the Roads, Transportation and Public Safety Department, Level 4, at the address below.

Notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council intends to review the parking bye-laws for Newbridge Town, Co. Kildare under Section 36 of the Roads Traffic Act 1994.

PROPOSED VARIATION (NO. 1) OF KILDARE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2011-2017 TO INCORPORATE SMALL TOWN PLANS - KILL, PROSPEROUS, RATHANGAN, ATHGARVAN, DERRINTURN AND CASTLEDERMOT

Notice under Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2011,

Amendments that constitute Material Alterations to Proposed Variation No. 1 of the Kildare County Development Plan 2011-2017

Notice is hereby given that the Members of Kildare County Council, having considered Proposed Variation No. 1 of the Kildare County Development Plan and the Manager’s Report thereon in accordance with Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2011, have resolved that the Proposed Variation of the County Development Plan be amended.

The proposed amendments constitute a material alteration of the Proposed Variation of the Kildare County Development Plan 2011-2017. The proposed amendments are accompanied by information on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the proposed alterations and are prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC

The reason for this variation is to ensure that the objectives for the six towns are consistent with the core strategy of the County Development Plan. These plans will replace existing Local Area Plans for the above settlements.

Copies of the proposed amendments, the Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report and Appropriate Assessment Screening Report may be inspected at the locations listed below during the period of 4 weeks from Thursday 10 May 2012 to Wednesday 6 June 2012 inclusive:

Postal and Special Voters Lists

If the circumstances of your occupation means that you may find it difficult to get to your polling station on polling day or you are a full time student at a 3rd level institution in the state, you can apply for a postal vote in the forthcoming referendum on 31 May.

Similarly, if you have a long-term physical illness/disability and are living either at home or in a nursing home, you can apply for a postal or special vote, as appropriate.

(Please note that the closing date for such applications is two days after the Minister makes an Order setting polling day, so immediate action is needed if you wish to have this facility for the referendum on 31 May).

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004 (Section 10)

KILDARE TOWN WASTE WATER TREATMENT WORKS, CO. KILDARE

In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, it is hereby ordered that, due to unforeseen delays in the construction of the on-road portion of the 15km long new outfall for the Kildare Waste Water Treatment Works, and in the interest of public safety, it is hereby ordered that the road works speed limit of 50 km/h be extended for a period of 3 months to apply from 21 April until 21 July 2012 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier, as per the following schedule:

(a) The Tully Road (L3005) from a point 100 metres north of its junction with the Waste Water Treatment Plant road to a point 50 metres south of its junction with the Mooretown-Kildare Road (L7024).

(b) The Brallistown Little Road (L70244) from its junction with the Mooretown-Kildare Road (L7024) to a point 50 metres south of said junction.

(c) The Kildare-Athy Road (R415) from a point 50 metres north of its junction with the Mooretown-Kildare Road (L7024) to a point 50 metres south of said junction.

Ambulance, fire brigade and An Garda Síochána vehicles, while being used in the course of duty, are exempted from all speed limits imposed by this Order.

Extension to burial ground with car park at Staplestown, Donadea, Naas, Co Kildare

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council proposes to extend the burial ground at Staplestown, Donadea Naas, County Kildare.

The proposed extension is to the existing cemetery at Staplestown and is approximately 0.396 hectares in area. The proposed car park will be approximately 0.198 hectares in area.

Plans and particulars of the proposed extension and car park will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during normal opening hours from Tuesday 3 April 2012 until Tuesday 15 May 2012 at the following locations:
