Engineering Section      

It consists of three (3) sections

Fire Service:
which provides fire cover for Curragh Area out to and including Suncroft and Brownstown Co Kildare .

Heavy Plant Section:
which is tasked with maintenance work on firing ranges and general demolition work. The big items of plant are the Caterpillar 215 excavator and Caterpillar D4 and D6 bulldozers

Technical Stores
which has two (2) sections

1. Field Engineering Stores.

2. Maintenance Engineering which is responsible for issue and receipt of all materials to barrack foreman works.

Ordnance Base Workshops (OBW)

Ordnance Base Workshops is responsible for base repair, refurbishment, modification and maintenance of the following service equipments.

Small Arms (calibre<20 mm).
Armaments (calibre>20mm).
Field Cooking Equipment.
Optical Equipments.
Night Vision Equipments.
Laser Equipments.
Missile Simulation Equipments.
EOD Robotic Equipments.

Technical evaluation of weapons, optical equipments, NVE equipments and other Ordnance equipments as required by the Defence Forces. 
Post delivery inspection of all Ordnance equipments in Group Technical Stores
