Youth Information Centres (YICs) provide a free, confidential information service to young people and those who work with them on a wide range of subjects including careers, education, employment matters, rights and entitlements, leisure, sport, travel and European opportunities. Located around the country, they are a first point of contact for a young person seeking information on any subject of interest or concern.

This project has been undertaken as part of the Global Classroom Project being conducted by the Victorian Department of Education in Australia. A major aim of this project is to offer teachers and students a wide variety of Internet projects which stimulate their interest.
