Down Dangerous Passes Road is a thrilling tale of grace and redemption from one of Canada’s major writers, performed by Nick Devlin, Keith Burke and Stephen Wilson. Three brothers have a car accident on the day of the youngest’s wedding, ending up stranded on Dangerous Passes Road close to the spot where years earlier they had watched their father die. They await a rescue that, Beckett-like, never arrives, as gradually their situation reveals itself in dreamlike ambiguity.

Not I is one of Beckett’s most beautiful and accessible plays but is rarely performed in Ireland with the repertoire. It is perhaps one of the most truthful attempts in art to depict what the precise moment of death feels like, written with compassion and humour. This production lasts 20 minutes and features Bonnie Mc Cormick as ‘Mouth’ with Nick Devlin as the Auditor. It is staged in the McKenna Gallery prior to the performance of Down Dangerous Passes Road in the auditorium.
