The ensemble constitutes an amalgamation of top quality international guitarists with some of Ireland's finest young musicians.

The six string classical guitar is the primary instrument of the group, but, it also features the contra bass guitar, the soprano guitar and, for extra effect, the steel string acoustic guitar.

The group began as a student venture by Brendan Walsh in 2003, it was formerly know as the Maynooth Guitar Orchestra. However its unprecedented rapid development has seen the group move independently; the past five years has seen the ensemble featured on National Radio and in Ireland's top concert halls.

The unique concert programme of the ensemble has seen it perform music from various genres; the work of Haydn, Mozart, Debussy, Schostakovitch, Lazzarini, Bjork and Radiohead has all been featured.

The Programme of this concert will feature two of Vivaldi's finest concertos; a sonata by Batista Vitali; and new compositions by Abigail Smith, David Stalling, James McGuiggan and John Wolf-Brennan.
