Highlight of the weekend will be the trio of Irish Superbike races where six of the top eight in the championship will line-up as part of a capacity grid. David Haire, Gerard Kinghan, Mark Johnson, Kirk Jamison, Rory Clarke and James Dickson are the top championship contenders on the entry list and will be among the favourites to fill the podium positions. They will also have to watch out for the likes of Denver Robb, who is on the comeback trail following an early season injury, and newcomer Richard Rea who is beginning to follow in the footsteps of his more famous brother Jonathan.

Also on the programme will be races for Supersport, 125cc & 250 cc GP machines, Sidecars & Open Clubman, while the Supertwins class will be split into two, with the Supersport 400 machines racing separately. In the 400 class one notable entry will be Comedian PJ Gallagher who will make his racing debut as part of a TV programme centering around his introduction into Motorcycle Racing.

This weekend's races will be the first Mondello Park ISB round to run with a slightly changed format. Saturday's first race for each class will be a ten-lap affair as will Sunday afternoon's races, but the opening race for each class on Sunday morning will be a five-lap sprint. Admission for each day is €15.00 for adults with accompanied under 16's free of charge. Family tickets are also available for €25.00.
