In the knitting workshop you will learn how to dye our pure new  wool, and wool tops using food colouring and microwave, use knitting dollies for French knitting, finger knit with thick yarns, and learn how to use circular needles.

After lunch we will learn how to make a flat piece of felt using wet felt making techniques ,and a fabulous flower which can be used as a corsage or brooch.

Basic materials of  the finest natural fibres will be provided as part of the course fee. More materials to take home,for felting and knitting, will be available for purchase from The Mill store.

This course is suitable for absolute beginners but could also be enjoyed by any one  who requires a structured approach to basics.

The workshop needs a minimum of 8 participants to proceed. €20 booking fee required in advance.
