Kay began creating artist books when in University and over the last few years has evolved into blank notebooks.

The notebooks are created using decorative papers from all over the world and embellished with beads, paper scraps and ribbons.  She likes the idea that what she creates is empty or vacant and it is up to the owner to fill the pages with what they chose, be it photographs, notes sketches, etc., thus each notebook becomes a reflection of its owner and a unique work in itself.  The notebooks can be reserved for purchase during the exhibition and can be collected at the closing reception.  All are welcome to attend. 

Kay attained her B.A. from the D.I.T. Ireland in 2000 and completed a Masters in 2003 in Canada.  Her photographic and book works have been exhibited in Canada, Ireland the United Kingdom and Europe.
