Athy Film Club are delighted to announce the screening of NOREEN on Friday 25th February 2011.

A film by actor/director Domhnall Gleeson, NOREEN is produced by Juliette Bonass and Kildare man Ciaran Deeney.  Together they form independant film production company El Zorrero films.  NOREEN has been nominated for an IFTA AWARD in the best short film  category.  Director Domhnall Gleeson and producer Ciaran Deeney will be present on the night to host a Q&A Session.

Athy Film Club will also be screening two more short films on the night, WHAT WILL SURVIVE OF US and another film yet to be announced.  There will be complimentary wine and light snacks available on the night.  Domhnall Gleeson is curently appearing in two major films, the Coen Bros. adaptation of the Charles Portis novel TRUE GRIT and the adaptation of the Kasuo Ishiguro novel NEVER LET ME GO, he is also nominated for two other IFTA awards (lead actor and rising star categories), with this in mind Athy Film Club are expecting a large turnout so advance ticket purcase or pre-booking is essential.

Admission: €5 for members & €10 for non-members - Doors: 7:30PM with first screening at approx. 8:00PM
