Bus driver Paterson (Adam Driver) lives an uneventful life with his quirky wife Laura (Golshifteh Farahani) and their pet English bulldog Marvin in Paterson, New Jersey – largely known as the setting for William Carlos Williams’ epic poem. Paterson himself is an amateur poet, who takes inspiration from the small details of his daily routines to write verse in the notebook that he always carries.
This film is a charming, gently humorous and rewarding celebration of the normal rhythms of life and how even the most mundane things can inspire creativity.
