Kildare Town Sports Partners are delighted to announce that "The ThoroughbredRunKildare" will go to post again in 2017.

You are now officially under starter's orders; get training the date is 18th June 2017, Father's Day!

We are growing every year and the 2017 event will include a marathon which sees us host a four race card in 2017, That's a Marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k. As you have come to expect all four races will pass through the Irish National Stud with the Marathon and half taking in many more Stud Farms in the area which are synonymous with Irish horse racing and our brand "The Thoroughbred".

Post-race you will have the opportunity to restore those spent calories with our now legendary hot food prepared for you by Kildare towns top restaurants at what we call "A Taste of Kildare", and what a taste it is?

We have a live feed of runners on the road streaming to monster screens in Market Square. This year for the first time we have the Irish Nursery Association members on hand at our new plant fair which gives visitors an opportunity to get valuable advice and top quality nursery grown plants for their own gardens.

Be a runner, walker or a spectator there really will be something there for everyone so make plans now and join the fun.

We have commissioned a fabulous medal for this year's event and each of our winners will receive a special version of the medal along with prizes for 1, 2, 3 Male/Female in each event.

The event is AAI licensed and Jones counter measured.
