Official Opening- People's Park Playground & Athy Skatepark

Official opening by Mayor of Kildare Cllr Fiona O Loughlin

Following significant advance work by the former Town Council, Kildare County Council (Parks Department) is delighted to announce the officially opening of two new local amenities for children and youth in South Kildare. Mayor of Kildare Cllr Fiona O Loughlin, will be joined by Members of the Athy Municipal District and Officials of the Council to perform the opening of both the new Playground at the People's Park and Skate Park at Meeting Lane on Saturday, 9th May next.

Special appreciation is extended to local parents, residents and Kildare Youth Services for their input into the planning and design of these welcome amenities. Projects funded by Kildare County Council, former Athy Town Council and Department of Children & Youth Affairs.
