Messrs. Edge, Jarrott and Stocks, the English representatives in the forthcoming motor race, will from June 7th be located at Castle Rheban, Athy, where they have taken the residence of Mr. H. Large.

They will bring with them their three racing and also three touring motors. Mr. Stocks will drive a “Star”and Messrs. Edgeand Jarrott “Napier” machines.

Mr. Mecredy is having a grand stand erected at the Moat of Ardscull where he has also taken a camping out field.

At a meeting on Monday of the directors of the company which has purchased Kavanagh’s Hotel, Athy, tenders were considered for overhauling and reconstructing the interior of the building, carrying out sanitary improvements etc. That of Mr. D.Carbery, Athy, for £1,000 odd, was accepted.
