Heritage Week is Ireland's annual celebration of our built, natural and cultural heritage and is part of a European initiative to encourage people to take an interest in their local heritage.

The Waters and Communities Office has recently launched a Community Water Fund providing grant-aid to angling and community groups


There are a number of grants, administered by Kildare County Council, that Heritage organisations may wish to apply to for Heritage projects in 2018


Heritage Week is coordinated by the Heritage Council and Local Authority Heritage Officers.

Funding Opportunities for Heritage Projects

Kildare County Council and Creative Ireland are putting together a programme of events as part the Creative Ireland Programme 2017-2022. 
Funding is now available for individuals and organisations who wish to develop a community/cultural/ Heritage project/event.
